Winners Dog

• At the International All-Breed Canine Association (IABCA) shows in Cloverdale, British Columbia October 4-5, 2003, Murphy earned two "V-1" (Very Excellent-top rating for adult class) ratings towards his IABCA International Championship.

• At the Fraser Valley Dog Fanciers CKC show in Cloverdale, British Columbia on October 13, 2003, Murphy was owner handled to Winners Dog and Best of Winners under judge Walter Pinsker for his first 3 Canadian points.  Fraser Valley was Murphy's first Canadian show.

• Murphy earned his third "V-1" rating and finished his IABCA International Championship at the International All-Breed Canine Association (IABCA) show in Enumclaw, WA on November 8, 2003 under judge Steve Keating.

• At the Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association's Specialty Show July 29, 2004, Murphy won third place in Open Chocolate Dogs under breeder judge Janice Pritchard (Charway).

• At the Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association's Specialty Show August 5, 2005, Murphy won first place in Open Chocolate Dogs under breeder judge Jill Ickowski (Wiscoy).

• At the Kamloops & District Kennel Club Show September 4, 2005, Murphy won Winners Dog for 3 CKC points (see picture above) under judge Janet Buchanen.  Murphy was Reserve Winners Dog at the Kamloops shows September 2nd and September 3rd.

• At the Oceanside Kennel Club Show in Maple Ridge, British Columbia on March 23, 2006, Murphy won Winners Dog and Best of Winners for 4 CKC points to finish his Canadian Championship (See Picture).  The judge was Donna Cole.

• At the Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association's Specialty Show August 4, 2006, Murphy won third place in All Around Dogs (8 entered, including 4 specials) under breeder judge Lisa Zitting (Snowberry).

Murphy 10/04

• Murphy earned the first leg of his Junior Hunter title at the PSLRA Hunt Test at Carlson's Farm on May 4, 2003.  The judges were Sharon Hilton and George Tookey.  He earned his second JH leg the following weekend at the Rainier Hunting Retriever Club Hunt Test held at Carlson's Farm on May 11, 2003.  The judges were Shelah Frey and Evelyn Smith.

• Murphy went 4-for-4 (all owner-handled) to earn his Junior Hunter title by qualifying both days at back-to-back hunt tests sponsored by the Oregon Hunting Retriever Club at Sauvie Island, Portland, OR May 24-25, 2003.  The judges on Saturday were Jim Morris and Mike Collson (see pic), and the judges on Sunday were John Tate and Bob Lane. 

• Murphy earned his Labrador Retriever Club, Inc. Working Certificate (WC) on October 9, 2004 at the 2004 National Specialty in Mead, CO.  The judges were Dale Brummett and Barb Ironside.

• Murphy earned the first leg of his Senior Hunter title at the PSLRA Hunt Test at Pepper's Farm on May 5, 2007.  Murphy was handled by Butch Higgins and the judges were Marilyn Mark and Kenny Hubach. 

• Murphy earned the second leg of his Senior Hunter title at the Oregon Retriever Trial Club's Hunt Test held on Sauvie Island, Portland, OR July 14, 2007.  The judges were Mary Jo Marttila and Julie Stucker.

• Murphy earned the third leg of his Senior Hunter title at the Salem Retriever Trial Club's Hunt Test held in Gervais, OR July 21, 2007.  The judges were John Grose and Dave Simon.

• Murphy finished his Senior Hunter title at the Rainier Hunting Retriever Club's test held at Pepper's Farm in Carnation, WA August 11, 2007.  The judges were Ron Perry and Cindy Meyer.  Huge thanks to Butch Higgins of Parkdale Kennels for the wonderful care and training he gave Murphy.  See pics.

• At the PSLRA Fall Hunt Test held at Pepper's Farm September 8, 2007, Murphy was owner-handled to his 5th Senior Hunter pass.  The judges were Pam Bunnell and Sharon Hilton.

• At the Labrador Retriever Club, Inc. National Specialty Hunt Test held at Reeder Ranch, Sauvie Island, OR on October 6, 2007, Murphy was owner-handled to his 6th Senior Hunter pass.  The judges were Joanne Hanscom and Mary Jo Marttila.  This pass helped Murphy earn the Dog For All Reasons Award at the LRC, Inc.  National Specialty.  This award is earned and presented at the Labrador Retriever Club, Inc. National Specialty and is sponsored by the Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association.

   

• Murphy is currently training for his Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) obedience title at Family Dog Training Center.

• Murphy passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test on August 21, 2004.

• At the Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club Show July 30, 2005, Murphy earned a qualifying score and first place in Novice B to complete the first leg of his CD Title (see picture below).  The judge was Susan Oviatt.

• At the Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association's Specialty Show August 6, 2005, Murphy earned a qualifying score and first place in Novice B to complete the second leg of his CD Title.  Murphy was also High Scoring Dog With a Hunting Title.  The judge was Chris Cornell.

• At The British Columbia Labrador Retriever Club's Specialty Show August 20, 2005, Murphy earned a qualifying score and second place in Novice B to complete the first leg of his CKC CD Title.  The judge was Bruce Fraser.

• At the Gig Harbor Kennel Club Show September 24, 2005, Murphy earned a qualifying score in Novice B to finish his AKC CD title under judge Shirley Hubenig.  This title also completed the requirements for the Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association's "All Around Award".

• At the Elsie Murray Kennel Club Shows November 25 and 26, 2005 Murphy earned qualifying scores with 2nd place finishes to complete the final two legs of his CKC CD title.  The judge both days was Wayne Hamilton.

• At the Labrador Retriever Club, Inc. National Specialty Show held in Hillsboro, OR (October 8-12, 2007), Murphy earned qualifying scores in Rally Novice B Obedience to complete the first two legs of his RN title.  The judges were Cathy Dutra (10/9) and Larry Tanner (10/10).  These qualifying scores helped Murphy earn the Dog for All Reasons Award.  This award is earned and presented at the Labrador Retriever Club, Inc. National Specialty and is sponsored by the Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association.

• At the Whidbey Island Kennel Club Show November 17, 2007, Murphy qualified in Rally Novice B under Judge Gayle George-Sackett to finish his Rally Novice title.
